Van Don Island
Van Don Island- 30 sq km is the largest and the most developed and populated in the Bai Tu Long area – Halong Bay. Nowadays, thanks to a series of bridges, this Island could link to the mainland and this is the good condition to promote its development.
Cai Rong is considered as the main town of Van Don. Cai Rong pier is the key port for boats to other’s Bai Tu Long Island– a untouched area and currently and a famous tourtist site. It’s a bustling port, full of karaoke bars and motorbikes, but there are decent hotels if you’re forced to overnight before catching a morning ferry. There are some raisonable hotel and could be about to respond all requirements.
Down on Bai Dai – runs along much of the southern side of Van Don island, the Bai Tu Long Ecotourism Resort has beachside bungalows and more traditional rooms in stilt houses. However, if you’ve got the time, a journey further afield to Quan Lan Island is highly recommended. The beauty of the landscape on this area make it become “must- go place”
