"The boat was nice"
The boat was nice, certainly one of the nicest in Halong Bay and the crew were so lovely!!
The cabin, while nice, had a mildew smell which wasn't very pleasant.

"The cruise boat was in great condition"
The cruise boat was in great condition, and the room we were provided were perfectly adequate (i.e., no frills and the slightest smell of sewerage lingered in the bathroom). The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and I was impressed with their handle of English (and several other languages). The food provided for each meal was, for the most part, superb. The final night buffet was great also. The activities were really good, and although there is very little to do on the boat itself (save for some Tai Chi and playing 'find the fleeting internet signal'), you will find most of your time occupied and accounted for. Happy hour(s) is also a great way to slip into the night. The late-night squid fishing seems tacky at first, but it proved to be a lot of fun. If you are overly reliant on technology, you might as well relegate yourself to interacting with real people again.
I would strongly recommend the Au Co Cruise as a great, value for money option to experience Ha Long Bay. If you are overly reliant on technology, bring your own entertainment or stay at home.
Ha Long Bay itself was a bit of a dissapointment, but the few parts that we managed to see through the ever-present fog and water polution were pretty amazing.

"Good customer service"
Good customer service
The restaurant in the boat needs to have more air/con or fans as it is really hot having meals there. I didn't know that there is children meals, otherwise I would have chosen it for my son who did not enjoy the food at all. They should also take the initiative to offer children meals for my son instead of me having to ask for it.

"Thank you "
Thank you again so much for all of your kind assistance with our Auco cruise arrangements. We are disappointed the bad weather caused the cruise to end early but you and Auco cruise were are very helpful in resolving that as best possible with the partial refund of our money and finding us a last minute hotel for the night back in Hanoi. Thank you again so much.
For your survey below we give Auco Cruise a 10+++++ on all those categories. They are excellent in every way.

"the staff on the cruise were brilliant."
the staff on the cruise were brilliant. The food (and the chef) was absolutely sensational each and every meal. The activities were enjoyable and informative. There are too many positive reviews to say about this boat.Otherwise the service was brilliant and of a very high quality
we found that the cruise was less about Halong Bay than it is about the cruise experience itself.
It would have been a full 10/10 had the staff pointed out the famous outcrops that mark Halong Bay such as the Fighting Cocks.
