It was peaceful North of Viet Nam countryside, the places we visited in Ninh Binh were really a hidden charm land. Our good guide Minh spoke excellent English, he made us understand more than we expected. Local people life’s hard, but we love them very much because they are very friendly and close. Some of the views we saw were stunning, not to mention the history and culture involved. I'd recommend this trip to anyone who are still thinking about choosing it. Lots to do but in a good way, should stay there (homestay is preferable) and spend your time with local people there to learn about their lives. Thanks Minh for a great day, we'll be back!

The best part is the climbing of the Dragon mountain in Mua Cave ( you need to add this to your trip). 500 steps to climb on top to see the beautiful view and to walk along the massive dragon built on top of the hill. The bungalow at the bottom was really nice with a small waterfall where you can have a shower. Tam coc boat trip to 3 caves was nice too ...so as the bike tour around Tam coc was also nice...beautiful countryside ...I like people there, very friendly and cozy to talk together. I will recommend this trip to our friends and people we meet on the way travel.

We booked this tour from viator and everything was very good. Tour guide and driver picked us from our hotel about 8:00 a.m ( after we had breakfast in hotel, that was great arrangement also ). Tour guide's name Tien, he so good with taking care of his guests, he speaks English fluently, and we believed that we will have a good trip for this visiting. Ninh Binh is wonderful landscape with many things to see, we visited Hoa Lu then moved to Mua cave with nice view and saw all the panorama view of Tam Coc. Standing from the peak of this mountain to look around the view, that was perfect, we loved it very much. Went to Tam Coc for lunch and we had buffet lunch, most of cuisine was vegetable, pho, rice...all meals good tasty. We liked it very much. We had 45 minutes relaxing then went biking to visit some villages around Tam Coc, we had impressive time to talk to local people with the translation from Tien, they invited us visit their house, they are very friendly and cozy also. We returned Tam Coc and visited caves when sat on the local boat, it was really relaxing and closed to natural, we had wonderful time in this area and promised to myself that I will return and stay here for few nights. Thanks viator, Tien and driver. I will keep in touch to you for next visiting Viet Nam.

We had a wonderful time on our recent tour to Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua cave. Prompt and efficient pickup in the morning followed by comfortable ,safe drive (90mins..?) to our first destination.Despite the downpour..our every comfort was prioritised as Tien produced polythene rainmacs and brollies as we began the amazing river trip... our punt ably and dexterously manoeuvred by our “ oarsperson “ with her feet.!! The traditional lunch in a Vietnamese home was beautifully prepared and presented. Next up... a gentle bike ride through paddy fields....a visit to a family ancestor shrine: Tien’s explanations of Vietnamese Traditions and Culture always informative and clear: he spoke with depth and passion.... most especially during the afternoon visits to the Pagodas ...the sheer beauty of these locations was nonetheless apparent....despite the teeming rain! On a personal note... the regular availability of rest rooms throughout the day... was an unusual bonus!

From my friend's recommendation, we really want to book this day trip to visit Ninh Binh, it was simple we wanted to visit great countryside where has many thing to explore. We were picked up promptly in the morning and met awesome friend tour guide, Lien. She is funny and light hearted throughout the day. She made the trip memorable one. We enjoyed relaxing day at the beautiful ancient temples, feasting at Vietnamese traditional buffet, cruising along the stunning the river and cycling through the rice paddies. We would both recommend this full day trip to anyone looking for a da trip outside of Hanoi. Thanks Lien, We will return and see you soon.
